Our approach

Treat the cause, not just the ache

Pain is rarely the whole story. We look at how you sit, lift, run and rest, then build a plan around the life you want to get back to. You'll leave every session knowing what we did, why we did it, and what to practise next.

What we treat

Common reasons people visit

If something is limiting how you move, we can usually help, or point you towards the right care if not.

  • Back & neck pain

Stiffness, desk strain, recurring flare-ups and sciatic symptoms.

  • Sports injuries

Sprains, strains, tendon pain and overuse niggles that won't settle.

  • Joint pain

Knees, hips and shoulders that ache on stairs, reaching or after activity.

  • After surgery

Guided rehab following joint replacement, ligament repair or fracture.

  • Posture & desk work

Tension headaches, rounded shoulders and end-of-day fatigue.

  • Running concerns

Shin, calf, foot and knee problems that interrupt your training.

  • Balance & confidence

Steadiness work for everyday movement at any age.

  • Pregnancy & postnatal

Pelvic, hip and lower-back comfort before and after birth.

Your first visit

What to expect

No guesswork and no rush. Here's how your first appointment runs.

  1. Talk it through

We ask about your symptoms, history, work and the activities you miss most.

  2. Move & assess

Simple movement, strength and joint tests show us what's driving the problem.

  3. Begin treatment

You start feeling the difference with hands-on care and first exercises in the same session.

  4. Leave with a plan

A written home programme and a realistic outline of the sessions ahead.

Questions

Before you book

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. You can book directly. If your insurer asks for a referral, check with them first and we'll happily share assessment notes with your doctor.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. Shorts are helpful for hip, knee and ankle problems, and a vest top for shoulders or the upper back.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on the problem and your goals. After the first visit we'll give you an honest estimate and review progress as we go. We never book sessions just to fill a calendar.

Is it going to hurt?

Some treatment and exercise can feel uncomfortable, but we work within your limits and explain everything first. You're always in control of the pace.
